A FRIEND TO D.C. BASEBALL

ESPN.com Tom Friend attacks Peter Angelo$ and Baltimore in a column that may accurately describe how many Washingtonians are feeling about the current baseball situation. He rationalizes D.C. being full of good fans with bad teams and Baltimore being full of bad fans with good teams. Personally, I have nothing against Baltimore, just Angelo$.

Washington puts up a strong fight for ExposMilwaukee Journal Sentinel

An excellent review of attempts to return baseball to the Nation’s Capitol from Bud Selig’s old “paper of record.”

Marc Fisher: Of Shaved Ice, Barking Dogs And Baseball The Post

In his pathetic quest to stop baseball from moving the Montreal Expos to the District or Loudoun County, Angelos went on Baltimore radio station WBAL-AM and pronounced that “there are no real baseball fans in D.C.”

If that’s the case, then we’re good to go. The Orioles owner can’t claim damage to his business if a place that has no potential customers is removed from his customer base.

It seems to me that in his desperation, Peter Angelo$ is going to alienate so many people from the Washington area that many of them will not feel like giving him money or watching his team on TV if he prevails.

STRONG BAD E-MAIL

This week’s installment was pretty good.
