Just because Penn State's regular season is over doesn't mean Carroll H. Coook ('54 Pitt) doesn't have anything to say about them.Chad Arlington, TX: What is the short term outlook for Coach Paterno and do they (PSU) stay in the family when teh time comes to replace him?The last part about Tom Bradley not getting a shot is interesting, but because it is Beano sharing the information Bradley ought to be measuring Paterno's office as we speak.
SportsNation Beano Cook: I personally said last April that Paterno would coach two more years. I think Tom Bradley would get a crack at being the head coach. People close to Penn State tell me that won't happen, though.
Jeff (PA): Don't you think Penn State and Boston College would be much better fits in the Big East?I don't have an opinion on BC, but Penn State and the Big11Ten is a tired old subject. Like or not, Penn State and the Big11Ten are together for the foreseeable future. Ideally, another eastern team will be added to balance it out someday. Rutgers maybe?
SportsNation Beano Cook: Boston College made a big mistake leaving the Big East. As for Penn State, it's a state university with tremendous advantages over non-state universities. I think their fans would like to be outside of the Big Ten, but for everyone else involved, I think it's better that they are in it. Most people at Penn State still believe it is a good move. The people who follow BC cannot believe what a stupid move they made to join the ACC.

Rutgers would have to expand to at least 55,000, probably 60,000. The Big11Ten would make them offer 5,000 to other schools. The NY TV market makes Rutgers potentially more attractive than other schools. I'm referring to what I want, not the Big11Ten's. I think Notre Dame is the only one they want too.
