WWN PENN STATE POSTGAME #12

VS.

Penn State Nittany Lions 31 Michigan State 35

  • This loss is on the defense. Giving up 35 points?! They only times they stopped Michigan State was when they got turnovers which they didn’t even necessarily cause. When was the last time the defense had such a bad half?
  • It was good to see Sean Lee finally get an interception though.
  • The schemes leave too much open space in the middle of the field.
  • The MSU fake punt was the play of the game.
  • I loved PSU’s fake field goal, but that may have fired up the Spartans a little.
  • Was it just me or was their a quick shot of John L. Smith in the stands?
  • Anthony Morelli played pretty well and had no turnovers.
  • The last five PSU play calls were very poor. They got desperate.
  • Another good game by Rodney Kinlaw.
  • Brent Carter played well in his short relief of Kinlaw.
  • This wasn’t Jeremy Boone’s best day of punting.
  • Pretty good performance by the offensive line. They should be quite an asset next season.
  • How did the secondary get so bad?
  • That 15 play drive in the first half was wonderful. When was the last time Penn State had a 15 play drive against Big11Ten competition?
  • Typical slow start for Penn State’s defense.
  • Can you say Alamo Bowl? I hope so.
