The Nationals just defeated the Phillies 11-6 at Citizen’s Bank Park in an exciting back and forth game. After the Nats squandered a 6-2 lead, they blew up in the 9th inning, getting five runs off of closer Tom Gordon. They must have hit three balls off the wall in the inning.

Don’t let the lack of logo (I’m nearly finished) fool you, the 3rd Annual Cheesesteak/Half-Smoke Challenge is on! Cliff and I are continuing our annual “mayors bet” on the Nationals vs. Phillies series this season. Since his Fleas won last year, the foodstuff he is defending gets top billing.

Metro was very crowded on the way in, but efficient.
I like the walk down Half Street with the balloons and all the bunting. Everything looks good on Opening Day/Night.
Security lines were not bad when we went through.
