Nats allow one hit, beat Phillies 1-0

Tim Redding pitched 7+ innings, giving up only one hit. Ryan Zimmerman hit his second homer of the year, a opposite field shot that landed just over the right field fence within ten feet of the pole. Jon Rauch got the save while Luis Ayala pitched the eighth. Cole Hamels gets rewarded for his 8 IP 1 R with a loss. In short, a typical early season start for Philadelphia. Panic will soon overcome the Delaware Valley if it has not already.

I’m up 2-0 in the 3rd Annual Cheesesteak/Half-smoke Challenge. :)
