Just Dukes being Dukes, dawg
RF Elijah Dukes has been on thin ice ever since becoming a National. Last night, following Lastings Milledge home run, Dukes and Manny Acta got into it in the dugout wiht players coming between them. After the win, Dukes pulled back on a post-game high five with Acta, who was not amused.
This seems like an odd decision by someone with a zero tolerance policy as Dukes. Will the team say they have had enough or bump him up to double-secret probation? I’m sure there will be much discussion about this in the Natmosphere and beyond which is very unfortunate, because it will overshadow the Nats improbable come from behind win. How improbable was it? Prior to last night, Washington was 0-35 when trailing after 8 innings.
