PENN STATE WINS WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL TITLE OVER TEXAS

I just finished watching Penn State comeback from an 0-2 deficit to Texas in the NCAA Women’s Volleyball Championship game. When I turned it on, they were losing in the second set. PSUGirl’s 2thelion blog hosted a Cover-it-Live chat during the match.

It was thrilling volleyball, tense and well-played by both sides. Destinee Hooker of Texas was dominant, but in the end, the final point came when she couldn’t return a spike. Penn State only started to pull away late in the final set, but still only won by 2.

Penn State has now extending the all-time women’s NCAA consecutive wins record (any sport) to 102 and won its third consecutive National Championship, fourth overall.

Here is how it happened

22/25 20/25 25/23 25/21 15/13

More details tomorrow
