More good Penn State Nittany Lions scheduling news — a 2013 game with the Syracuse Orange at the new Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. The specific date has yet to be determined. Also, Penn State will host on September 19, 2020 visit the Orange on September 18, 2021.

Penn State has a number of attractive road games in the mid-Atlantic over the next few years. This season, they play the Indiana Hoosiers at FedEx Field (home of the Washington Redskins) in Landover, Md. on November 20. On September 17, 2011 the Nittany Lions play Temple at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. In 2012, UVa. hosts Penn State for the first time in 11 years as well. Also, a trip to Rutgers, the birthplace of college football, in 2014 (and possibly more frequently if they join the Big Ten) is scheduled. For those of us on the Northeast Corridor, all these games along I-95 are welcome. Let’s just hope the Meadowlands wises up and gets rid of the evil turf in favor of grass or “painted mud.”
