Nothing says Halloween like…cherry blossoms?

TYSONS CORNER, Va. — In a year that the Washington D.C. area has seen Snowpocalypse and Snowmaggedon and what the Weather Channel called the worst summer of 2010, it somehow seems appropriate that this cherry tree is in full bloom just days before Halloween. I have seen early blossoms after a few unseasonable winter days, but never a full bloom in the fall. It probably happens now and again, but this is the first time I have noticed it.

Ah, BeltwayLand where you can experience 2 or 3 seasons at once!
