Metro brings back Lance Wyman to update iconic map WFY | June 6, 2011 | BeltwayLand, Maryland, Metro, Silver Line, The District, Transportation, Virginia | 1 Comment The Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority has hired Lance Wyman to update the Metro map he created over 30 years ago. His revised version needs to accommodate the Silver Line which is being built along the Dulles corridor as well as include the new Blue Line split. He’s nervous about updating his iconic design. Last month, prompted by Greater Greater Washington’s Redesign the Metro Map Contest I offered my suggestions for Metro cartography and operations: How would you redesign the Metro map?
