Yesterday's Suck
was really good.
Site of the Week
The Forum is back and redesigned.
In case you do not know,
The Forum is a weekly newsmagazine on the Web created
by students in the Penn State College of Communications.
I was a member of the staff for 1999.
There is nothing else like it anywhere in the United States.
That's some nice work there boys.

Weather News
The TV people are calling it "Blizzard 2000."
As of 12:30 EST, Yurasko Group World Headquarters in Vienna,
VA had over half-a-foot of fresh powder with it blowing all over, reaching
nine inches in some parts. Oh, to go skiing in it!
Needless to say, BeltwayLand is snowed in, at least this time,
it is geniune.
I seem to recall other January 25's when it snowed considerably.
I miss the good ol' days when Mayor Barry would immediately flee to a
warm locale.

Personal News
Bread! Milk! Toliet Paper! It has snowed in BeltwayLand, all public
institutions are closed.
The usual hysteria is present.
At Yurasko Group World Headquaters, in Vienna, Virginia, the official
accumulation was 5 inches.
Today I recieved my diploma in the mail, a wonderful site to behold.
I have since framed it. I also recieved a certificate for my minor, who knew
they sent one of those along too?
Along similiar lines, I am now officially a member of the Penn State Metro
Washington DC chapter
of the Alumni Association.
Sports News
Michael Jordan is now in charge of the Washington Wizards.
I don't think it will matter much at all.
He's more Ted Williams
than Vince Lombardi,
who both took control of Washington teams in the 1960s.
Lombardi reversed the Redskins losing ways and began the climb to
respectability.
Williams made little difference and the Senators moved in 1972.

Sports News
While it is well known that I am not a fan of the Redskins (the color scheme of this site
may be a good hint for who is my favorite NFL team), it was good to see them in the
Playoffs, the whole area was energized again. Today's game with Tampa Bay was really exciting, a
14-13 win for the Bucs.
It was also cool to hear Matt Millen ('79) hum "Fight on State" after
Brett Conway ('97) kicked a field goal for them.
Rest assured, I have my old school Tampa Bay orange jersey for next Sunday.
On a side note, Dan Turk probably ought to avoid Georgetown, Old Town, Adams Morgan,
and The Vienna Inn for a while.

Well, it looks like Y2K was no big deal afterall -- the world is safe
again...but for how long? My computer still needs a patch,
everything I did this morning is now from the year 100. Overall, not too
big a deal.
Today, I have named my Web site as "WFY2K."
It really did not have a name before, I figured this was as good as time
as any. Changes to the site should be complete and the copyright has
been updated.
Personal News
Spent New Year's over at the Bailey's, creating what many observers believe
is the first time two Erica's (Marker and Bailey) had ever been in the
same room. Christian was also there, making this the most time I had spent with
him in years.
