HAPPY VALLEY U.S.A. -- William F.
Yurasko, super senior at Pennsylvania State
University has announced that his web site
has been completely revised. "It's all new,
all blue and ready for you!" announced Mr.
Yurasko.
Mr. Yurasko, who learned HTML on the
streets and refined it with the
Democratic National Committee as an
intern the previous summer, began the
process the first weekend in September,
laboring in front of his Pentium 75 MHz
Acer Acros for hours and hours.
The site was designed using Adobe
PhotoShop for graphics, Hewlett Packard
and UMAX scanners, Netscape Composer, and
Notepad. Mr. Yurasko, who is well known for
putting the "stud" in Media Studies, his
major in the College of Communications,
designed nearly every image from scratch,
tailoring the site to have a distinct feel,
while not straying to far from Yurasko.net
conventions. "It was important that the
Yurasko "Y" be included in the site, its a
very valuable brand identity to our family
and our web site."
The humble Mr. Yurasko has few plans for
the future of the site. "Right now, I want
to add a few mini portals for things such
as the Washington and State College area,
plus more photographs for my friends,
especially those far away who don't see me
much. Otherwise, I think I will just keep
on maintaining what I have to provide a
quality site as I always have."
Many of the same features previously found
on Mr. Yurasko's were updated for the new
edition. Also, new features such as Reading
and After Hours were added. The After Hours
page is particularly noteworthy, says the
not-at-all pompous Mr. Yurasko. "It's all
good and fun and most of all, not serious."
Except for the
Online Resume, that is very serious,
said Mr. Yurasko, a December 1999
graduate.
