Super Bowl XLVI prediction

Here’s my quick Super Bowl prediction — New England Patriots 34 New York Football Giants 17. Last time these two met, I talked myself out of picking the Giants.
I’m pulling for the Giants for several reasons — they play in New Jersey where I was born, represent New York which is one of my favorite [...]

Uninformed NFL predictions – Conference championship games

The Northeast corridor is well represented in the NFL championship Sunday with 3 teams playing. At least one will move on to the Super Bowl. This is the best Sunday in pro football, better than the Super Bowl which is amateur night and about things like ads and half-time shows.

Uninformed NFL predictions – Divisional Playoffs

New Orleans Saints at San Francisco 49ers
The Niners haven’t been in the playoffs in ten years. They can run the ball though and are playing at home. Weather is apparently going to be pretty good, but Saints are still a dome team. Plus, the ghost of Jim Mora may show up. I’m going with the [...]

Another Washington Redskins season means more guest prognosticators and this week is regular New York Football Giants contributor, my friend Brad Stratton.
WFY: Do you think the Giants will benefit from the lockout since they are established at quarterback?

So, I got a text from this week’s guest prognosticator Brad, at 3:06 p.m. yesterday.
“nice job on the prediction”
The Washington Redskins promptly scored a touchdown.
Take that, Brad.
That’s all I have to say about the game, other than they should wear burgundy pants with white jerseys.

Redskins vs. Giants prediction with Brad

My friend Brad and I handicap the December 5, 2011 Washington Redskins vs. New York Giants game.

Lawrence Taylor broke Joe Theismann’s leg 25 years ago tonight

My friend Brad (a New York Giants fan from New Jersey) mentioned in a status update that today was the 25th anniversary of Lawrence Taylor breaking Washington Redskins quarterback’s Joe Theismann’s leg. While I did not watch the game (it was a school night) my father left me a note on the kitchen table that [...]

Eli Manning draws First Blood on both NYC tabloids

New York Giants QB Eli Manning got destroyed in last night’s preseason game (played in New Jersey) against the New York Jets. He christened the artificial turf at New Meadowlands Stadium with blood gushing from a massive head wound that needed a dozen stitches. The tabloids both had the same though with their backpage headline.
Here [...]

NFL owners approve outdoor Super Bowl near New York; Could D.C. be next? – The Post
