Not even the most optimistic Capitals fan could have rationalized this — Washington has reached first place in the southeast division after being dead last in the conference on Thanksgiving. That morning, Glen Hanlon was relieved of his duties and Bruce Bourdreau was promoted form Hershey. The next day, they went up to Philly and took out the Flyers in OT. Since Boudreau showed up, they are 20-10-4.

Last night’s win helps me out in La Coupe Hauxer as well. I talked a little trash there this morning.
