The first “test” of the season is theoretically tomorrow night under the lights of a “Penn State White Out” which is of course completely different than a “White Out.” (USA Today) Remember last year Illinois won 27-20 in Campaign on a day when Anthony Morelli had something like three turnovers inside the 20. Penn State’s offense is much better this year, though the defense is not it would seem. Illinois offense misses Rashard Mendenhall and QB Juice Williams still lacks consistency. I expect something of a shootout in the first half, but expect the game to settle down in the second with Penn State taking over via the ground game.
