Tavarez Cut After Nats Are Swept Away by CubsThe Post
I was in Pennsylvania this weekend, off the grid and not really following the Nats. They got swept by the Cubs in Washington. Jim Riggleman is now 0-4 as Nationals manager.

Today’s big story seems to be the release of Julian Taverez, the relief pitcher who infamously describe signing with the Nats as such:

Why did I sign with the Nationals?” Tavarez said told a group of reporters. “When you go to a club at 4 in the morning, and you’re just waiting, waiting, a 600-pounder looks like J. Lo. And to me this is Jennifer Lopez right here. It’s 4 in the morning. Too much to drink. So, Nationals: Jennifer Lopez to me.

Well, Tavarez, you were not even good enough for a 600-pounder. Now, go away forever, you talentless moron.

  1. You are heart-broken I can tell. Now, given his attitude, should Chico Harlan go as well??

  2. Harlan is at least league average, though his writing lacks nuance and subtley when things get weird. His predecessor was a master of that and we got spoiled.

I am mostly just giving Harlan a hard time because its easy. Fun too.
