The Washington Capitals scored on the Montréal Canadiens 4 times in the second period, led first by a Boyd Gordon short-handed tally. Gordon also won 13 of 15 faceoffs. Goalie Jaroslav Halak was pulled and before long Alex Ovechkin scored on replacement Carey Price.

The bad new is the power play has not yet scored in the playoffs. The good news is they reclaimed home-ice advantage in the best of 7 series. Game 4 is tomorrow night.
