What the Nationals have to play for against the Phillies – The Post
With 4 games against the Philadelphia Phillies left this season, the Washington Nationals trail in the series 6-8. The Nats have to sweep to take the season series and most importantly, win the Cheesesteak/Half-Smoke Challenge for me for the second time. You have to go all the way back to 2006 to when I won the inaugural wager between me and the Ombudsman. He has won everyone since and I’m tired of buying him half-smokes the reality of it is, the Nats aren’t going to sweep, it is a LOCK, so no cheesesteak for me.
By the way, following Penn State’s victory over Temple, I stopped by Jim’s Steaks in Springfield, Pa. So good.
The series begins this afternoon at 1:05 p.m., so baseball on the radio during the workday, woo hoo! Nationals.com says it is on channel 50 as well, but that’s not what channel 50’s Web site says but a call to that station confirmed nationals.com was in error. Darn.
