DC Mayor Vincent Gray declared this weekend to be Natitude Weekend (DC Sports Bog, The Post). I’ve always taken #natitude as tongue and cheek marketing. The gesture by the mayor is all fine and good, let’s not get too serious about it.

Tickets are apparently still available. I’d go, but for family obligations. I’m not crazy about Sunday night baseball either, but scheduling based on national television is the price of an improving or good team.

Yes, they’ll be some Phillies fans around. That issue is going to take care of itself within a few seasons I believe.

As for attendance — the Nats will draw well in due time. Would it be nice if there were 30,000 there on a Tuesday? Sure. It isn’t that big a deal right now and I’m not linking to any of the stories over-analyzing it. If anything, the current attendance shows D.C. has turned into a fairly good hockey town.

I should have a Phillies guest prognosticator Q&A tonight or tomorrow.

The Nats look to take the Arizona Diamondbacks series this evening with Ross Detwiler on the mound. No Capitals game either and it is on MASN.
