The 2021 DC kayaking season is coming soon and so are annual passes and other discount passes.

Boating in DC

The largest kayak rental service in the Washington, D.C. area is offering 2021 season passes.

Boating in DC has boathouses on the Potomac River, including Washington Channel and Anacostia River. In addition to kayaks, standup paddleboards are rented at most locations. Some have canoes and rowboats as well.

This year’s season pass structure has changed significantly from more basic options of previous seasons.

2-Hour – $249

4-Hour – $349

2-Hour – $399

4-Hour – $499

“Adult, Senior and Student pass includes one boat rental per day for up to 2 or 4 hours, depending on pass type.

Early birds, you can save 10% on season passes and camps when you use the code ‘March10’ at the checkout! Need some more time? Don’t worry, this offer is available until March 31st.”

There are not guest passes included this year. The one boat rental per day is new as well.

Last year, due to COVID-19, three boathouses never opened. It appears that Ballpark Boathouse and National Harbor in Maryland are are returning, but Washington Sailing Marina is not listed. Hopefully, it’s just an omission.
