Port City Oktoberfest release on July 29

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — As is tradition, Port City Brewing Co. will release its 2022 Oktoberfest the last Friday of July. At 6 a.m.

TOO SOON!

And not because of 6 a.m.

It’s going to be in the high 80s too.

My favorite style, but ugh seasonal drift

Sure, I’ll get a case of this outstanding märzen and stick it in the basement for when it cools down in September. However, by the time the traditional gemütlichkeit going on, good like finding any. Wouldn’t it be nice if I could go to Port City and other craft breweries confident I could get a fresh growler after mid-September or into October?

FOX 5 (ugh) will cover at the celebration.

Unsolicited crazy idea that just might work

If I were running a craft brewery, I’d name my marzen Novemberfest and sell it through October and November.

We made a bunch this year. We’ll definitely have it in September and we expect to have it through most of October too
