The 2023 DC Kayaking season kicks off Saturday, March 25. Subject to conditions, Boating in DC’s Wharf Boathouse, will offer paddling on Saturday and Sunday the next two weekends. Later in April, Friday will be added as well.
More kayak rental locations will start opening in April. Some Northern Virginia Regional Public Parks will begin rentals as early as the first weekend in April. A number of private operators will open around the third Saturday of the month.
Typically, Memorial Day weekend is when every kayak provider will be open for the season. Updates will be posted on this blog as well as the map on dckayaking.com.
