Welcome to vvcampaign.org

In 1998, I created a web site for my research paper, The Pittsburgh Courier During World War II, An Advocate for Freedom. In August 2020, I moved into my current web site for a better user experience.

Background

My Penn State College of Communications professor, Ford Risley, had recommended that this subject to me for his COMM 401 Mass Media History class.

When I initially did the research, there was not much on the Web about the Black Press, during WWII or anytime. I decided to post it on my web site yurasko.net. Why settle for the old “it’ll be saved in the library” when you could share it with the world?

In 2001, I purchased the domain vvcampaign.org and redirected it.

Thankfully, there is a significantly more Double V Campaign resources on the web in 2020.

If you have any comments on the site, the Courier and VV, or anything else related, feel free to email me at wfyurasko@psualum.com
